Strengthening young people's religious understanding is an important component in maintaining the sustainability of the religious and social life of local communities. Young people are not merely recipients of religious values but also occupy a strategic position as the generation responsible for sustaining religious traditions and social life within village communities. Regular Islamic study sessions, as a form of non-formal Islamic education, have the potential to serve as spaces for religious learning, character development, social interaction, and religious cadre formation. This study aims to analyze the role of regular Islamic study sessions in strengthening young people's religious understanding and to formulate an appropriate framework for strengthening the program among youth in Meunasah Jurong Village, Meurah Dua District, Pidie Jaya Regency. The study employs a qualitative-descriptive library research method. Data were obtained from scholarly literature related to regular Islamic study sessions, religious development, religious literacy, youth development, and community-based Islamic education and were analyzed using descriptive and interpretative content analysis. The findings indicate that regular Islamic study sessions have considerable potential to strengthen religious understanding when implemented in a structured, contextual, participatory, and sustainable manner. Their effectiveness is influenced by program continuity, systematic coverage of faith, worship, and morality, dialogical learning methods, exemplary religious mentors, active youth participation, and community support. The study further demonstrates that regular Islamic learning activities can strengthen communication, solidarity, responsibility, and youth participation in community life. Based on the synthesis of the findings, this study proposes an integrative-participatory village-based Islamic study model combining religious learning, youth participation, exemplary mentorship, and social solidarity. This model constitutes the principal conceptual contribution of the study to the development of locally grounded religious education and youth empowerment.
