Abstract

This article discusses the concept of sale and purchase based on the principle of justice in Islamic law by examining the normative foundations of the Qur’an, Hadith, and the views of Islamic jurists. Sale and purchase are among the most important forms of muamalah in human life because they are closely related to fulfilling daily needs and supporting economic activities within society. In Islam, commercial transactions are not merely viewed as economic activities, but also as acts of worship that must be conducted based on the principles of honesty, mutual consent, balance, and justice. This study employs a qualitative method using a library research approach. The findings reveal that justice in sale and purchase is manifested through the prohibition of usury (riba), uncertainty (gharar), fraud, monopoly, and all forms of transactions that may harm one of the parties involved. Islam emphasizes the importance of transparency, equality of rights and obligations, as well as the protection of both consumers and sellers in economic transactions. Therefore, the principle of justice in Islamic law is capable of creating a healthy, harmonious economic system oriented toward public welfare and social benefit.
