Abstract

This study is motivated by the demands of educational transformation in the contemporary era, which require Islamic educational institutions to integrate modern management principles with Islamic values in the implementation of education. Such integration is necessary to establish an educational system that is oriented not only toward improving students’ academic competencies but also toward developing their character, spirituality, and skills in accordance with current developments. Balai House School Al-Aziziyah, located in Trieng MU Village, Lhoksukon District, North Aceh Regency, is one of the educational institutions that implements Islamic education management in response to the changing orientation of contemporary education. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of Islamic education management and the contemporary educational orientation applied at Balai House School Al-Aziziyah, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. This study employed a qualitative approach using field research. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the school principal, teachers, educational staff, and students. Data were analyzed interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings indicate that the implementation of Islamic education management at Balai House School Al-Aziziyah is carried out systematically through the management functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, which are grounded in Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), consultation (musyawarah), justice, discipline, responsibility, and professionalism.
